Team Prayer Requests

We cannot believe that next week at this time we will be in Togo! It has been over 2 years since we first started planning this trip. Pre-pandemic, we had high hopes of making it to Togo in the fall of 2020. As 2020 came to an end, we wondered if 2021 would be the year that we would be able to pick up where we left off. It wasn't, so we did our best to wait patiently to see what 2022 had in store. Now, we find ourselves only a few short days away from serving with our ministry partners in Africa! While we may never fully understand God's timing, we are resting confidently knowing that His plan is greater than anything we could ever imagine.

Our team consists of 9 adults: Mike and Marcee Edwards, Pam and Jerry Kosirog, Addison Wright, Gabby Gomez, Marie Semodio, Julie Spier, and Erika Pfaff. Here's how you can be praying for our team specifically as we prepare to leave:

• Please pray for us not just as team members, but as individuals who are experiencing some real heaviness right now. We know God has big plans in store for our team, not only during this trip, but in the future as well, which is why we believe Satan is so actively bringing opposition to different areas of our lives as we prepare to leave. While it’s encouraging to know that God is moving, it doesn’t always make the reality of resistance any easier.

• Please pray that the Lord grows our faith as we trust him with the responsibilities and loved ones we are leaving in the States. Many of our team members have loved ones that are, and will be receiving treatments for health concerns for the duration of the trip. We ask that the Lord guards our heart and our minds, allowing us to have peace that only he can provide.

• Please pray for wisdom and discernment as we finalize the logistical details of being away from family, work, school, etc. Several of our team members are moms- please pray additionally for their kids and those taking care of them.

• Please pray that God would use this trip to give life to each member of our team as well as the people we serve along side in Togo.

• Please pray that our team exudes the love of Christ everywhere we go; that we are a source of encouragement to any and all that we meet.

• Please pray that God would ignite a fire so deep the beginning of a legacy is launched at One Life Church.
